Our Engagement Pictures

White Dress: From local boutique in Miami | Vintage Dress: Anthropologie (it’s a couple months old, but there are some gorgeous similar options HERE and on sale!)

I know it’s been a while since I have been on here. I’m sorry. It has been a crazy couple months graduating school, starting a new job, moving in together for the first time and wedding planning. I finally had some time to post our engagement pictures. They were taken in Matheson Hammock Park in Coral Gables by the most wonderful Rosie of Dolce Photography. If you are in the market for an amazingly talented wedding photographer, definitely check her out. Hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

Neon Lights

Jumper: The Closet Boutique (similar here and love this one too here ) | Blazer: Nordstrom Rack similar here | Wedges: Steve Madden | Sunglasses: Ray Ban via Nordstrom (on sale!) | Clutch: no longer available but similar here | Earrings: c/o Culture of Cali | Necklace: c/o TAudrey | Midi Rings c/o Dia’s Jewels | Heart Ring and similar Single Gold Cuff c/o Kendra Phillip | Other cuff bracelets: Etsy | Other chain ring: old from H&M

When I first saw this jumper at the Closet Boutique, I was immediately drawn to it and little intimidated at the same time. I wasn’t sure if I could pull it off, haha! But when I tried it on it was the perfect length for my petite frame and corset style top properly fit “the girls” inside nicely and modestly (my favorite). All those neon colors looked so beautiful against the white background. I knew it had to be mine. I also love how it looks with a summery white blazer. Gives it a little Miami Vice vibe to it. Love that!

I have been loving a nice accessorized arm lately, so I wasn’t shy to layer lots of rings and bracelets from the fabulous Dia’s Jewels and Kendra Philip. If you follow me via Instagram, you might recognize these wedges. I have been wearing them literally with everything. They are just the perfect nude wedge. I highly recommend these if you are in the market. This outfit got me in the mood to go out in the town, especially Wynwood (where I took the photos).

I love going out in Wynwood. It has such a different vibe than the rest of the city. If you haven’t visited, it is a definite must. Every second Saturday of the month, Art Walk takes place. It’s so much fun to see the beautiful art while walking outside and eating some delicious food from the Food Trucks. If you and your girlfriends have been a little sick of the same spots in the city or looking for a fun girls night out, you should head on down to Wynwood. Promise you’ll have a good time! -End of Elyse’s Miami Night Life advice.

Will you guys be looking for a fun neon outfit to go out in? I have been loving the 80’s throwback!

P.S. Don’t forget to enter the Summer Giveaway with TAudrey to win your own colored initial necklace like I wore in these pics! Last day to enter is Thursday 6/12. Follow me on Instagram and TAudrey and find the post with me wearing the necklace for the rules to enter!

My go-to blow-dry in Miami | Blo Midtown

I don’t know about you girls, but I’m always in search of a “lady.” You know what I mean…a “lady” for your nails, a “lady” for your facials, a “lady” for your blow-dry. Well search no more in the blow-dry department, because all the girls at Blo Midtown have got you covered.

The lovely ladies at Blo know exactly what to do to give you the first class treatment and still get in and out in no time. Not only does Blo offer awesome blow-outs, they also offer fabulous do’s and creative hairstyles. I showed them a picture on Pinterest of what I wanted, and they nailed it. Don’t you love it when that happens?!

I visited the salon in search of a whimsical and girly do for my Elyse-ian Fields shoot. I arrived with a fabulous (sarcasm implied here) greasy pony-tail, as you can see above. As soon you walk in, you notice the style and decor of the salon is right on point…clean, modern and feminine. I felt right at home as soon as I walked in. The shampoo was amazing and super relaxing.

There is one bar in the middle with several clear acrylic chairs where all the magic takes place. The Hair Menu (the cute pink book shown above) offers you looks to choose from. I decided to go with the Red Carpet blow-out, and so happy I did. I don’t have too much hair, but at the end I felt like I belonged in a Pantene Pro-V commercial! To get that Grecian inspired look I wanted for my flowy outfit, I was given the perfect side braid to complete the look.

And it gets even better…I was in and out in about an hour! I had extra time on my hands (totally not a norm for me) so I was able to grab a yummy smoothie around the corner and strut my new do around Midtown!

I had the most amazing experience at Blo Midtown and definitely recommend you girls check it out if you are need of a “place” or a “lady” for you blow-dry needs! Let me know if you girls visit Blo by posting a pic on Instagram or leave me a comment below.

A special thank you to Kailey. You made my day.

As always, thanks for reading and have a great and safe weekend my beauty girls!

Love Always Your Miami Beauty Girl,
