I have a little bit of a perfume addiction. Do you see the trend here people? Don’t worry…only in the world of beauty and fashion do I have a hoarder issue. Promise. Oh and do you like my Nurse Minny in the background? Love her.
My perfume collection has grown over many years. Thank goodness perfume doesn’t expire. I just love having options. If you are looking for a new signature scent, maybe I’ll inspire you with this post.
These two are always my backup when I’m unsure of what scent I am feeling. Daisy has always been a staple for me. It’s so light and fresh. Lola is a step-up from Daisy, just a little more mature and nice for going-out. I highly recommend these two. They are a good pair to have.
Alien is the newest scent in my collection. I discovered it (I know, I’ve been living under a rock all these years) when I was out with my boyfriend and smelled it on someone. I was immediately draw to her (creepy maybe?). It was almost like I fell under a spell. I know I sound crazy, but trust me on this one. Just to give you another story about the power of this perfume, I wore the perfume to work the other day and the man behind me in the stairwell asked me what perfume I was wearing and told me, “That scent can get people into trouble.” Not going to lie, I was a little creeped out, but I took it as a compliment none the less. What’s also amazing about this perfume, is that you can refill it for $50 at the store. Right now Sephora has a special, you can buy the 1 oz. bottle for $50 instead of $80! Believe me, you need this fragrance in your life.
The BVL II is also a really nice fresh scent. I really love to wear it just to enhance my just-got-out-the-shower smell. I even wear it bed sometimes. I don’t know if that’s healthy, but it makes me happy. Don’t judge.
Prada d’Iris Absolue is another refreshing scent that I always go to when I just want something light and not overwhelming. If you grew up with a Cuban grandma, this reminds me of Violetas but for grown-ups.
Jimmy Choo is very unique. It’s spicy and musky and I love it! May not be for everyone though. I loved wearing it out while I was in Europe last summer. It made me feel international and exotic…don’t ask.
Dolce & Gabbanna The One. An oldie but a goody. I may not wear this one too often, but when I do it reminds me of my younger years…lol. I prefer this scent for the cooler months. It may be a little too heavy for the Spring/Summer, so I save it for Winter time.
Ange ou Demon is really nice for everyday. I also really love the size of the bottle to travel with. Very convenient and compact. It’s also a unique scent and not too many people wear it.
Burberry Body is also another awesome scent for the cooler months. It’s a very casual scent, if that makes sense?
Chanel Chance is such a classic fragrance. I tried really hard to like Chanel No.5, but wasn’t into it (is that a crime to say out loud?) I wear Chance when I want to bring out my inner Audrey Hephburn.
Hanae Mori and I have been together for a very long time. One of those fragrances I just can’t let go. It’s like a trip down memory lane when I wear it. It’s a mix of vanilla, spice and wood. I don’t wear it too often anymore, but definitely a nice fragrance to own.
Who doesn’t love Ralph Lauren Romance? It smells just like it’s name. Its floral hints are so airy and not overpowering. I love it. This is my second bottle.
Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue is another classic. I have had this bottle forever. You only need to use a couple sprays of this and it leaves the perfect clean and crisp scent.
Well that’s it for my perfume collection…phew! Did I inspire any of your girls to try a new fragrance? Do you have signature scent? I think I’m trying to make Alien mine
