Sunday Night Pillow Talk…

And by pillow talk, I mean I’m writing this post as I lay in bed so I thought it’d be cute title. Did it get your attention!? Ok good, it worked. This weekend was a little eventful, and not in a good way, so I really didn’t have too much time to put on a full pretty face. I’ll spare you the details about the events, but I was so impressed by how my little emergency make-up bag came to save the day. I really didn’t plan for these products to come together so perfectly, but I am so happy they did! If you are looking for a quick, but still put together look, these products are the bomb dot com. That phrase just came to me, sorry if I’m a nerd, but these things just get me excited! If you’re curious how I put it all together, keep reading. P.S. You may not be able to get some of these products in the mini sizes because I got them in kits at Sephora back during the holidays, but they are still great! You may just need a little bigger make-up bag ;)

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

I applied about a pea size drop of this all over to provide a base before applying my powder. This stuff is great because it gives a sheer coverage and has SPF 20.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

I put this under my eyes and little on my lids to make everything even. I also put some on a yucky blemish. It did an awesome job. It’s a really formula. I have forgotten about this concealer, I will definitely be using it more.

Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Foundation Powder

I applied a light layer of this super smooth powder in my t-zone and little more over the yucky blemish. Highly recommend this powder if you are currently in the market for a new one.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Whiz

This is great brow pencil to travel with because it’s so slim. The minute I filled in my brows, I felt like a new person. I love that feeling.

Josie Maran Argan Color Stick in Spice

This is THE best multi-purpose tool to travel with. It acts as a blush and a lip color all-in-one. No brush needed. It also smells amazing and has amazing ingredients. I dab a little of this on my cheeks and blend. Super easy, love!

Benefit Watt’s Up Highlighter

I used this also as an eyeshadow. I put this right on top of my cheek bones and on my lids for a really pretty soft glow. So angelic.

Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara

I don’t know about you guys, but my brows are always outta’ control! They have an attitude, and it’s really annoying. Anyways this stuff puts them in their place, literally.

MAC Plumful Lipstick

This color is so pretty. I gives just the perfect pop of color to brighten your face. Not too bright, not too light. Just perfection. That’s it.

Marc Jacobs Honey Rollerball

These rollerballs are the best invention ever and this scent is so amazing. Trying to make this my signature scent. I’ve always wanted to do that, but then I end up changing my mind…#firstworldproblems.

Make-up Bag is from Longchamp

Well girls, that’s my little combo I made up today and decided to take time away from studying to tell you about it. Because you all know how I love to study…hehe! Let me know if you try any of these products or what your go-to mini make-up bag products are! Have a great Sunday night, oh and  have a Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I’m not Irish, but you can still kiss this Cubanita on the cheek if you like!

Hey Elyse! I just read your other post about the brow powder and brush by you prefer brow pencils or brow powder? Would the powder stay in place if brushed with the clear Maybelline mascara on top of it? I’m really looking to make my brows look a little thicker.. Thanks in advance!

Hey!! So there are a couple options. I really like the Hourglass pencil if your are just starting out because it gives a very natural look since the end is angled and the brush on the other end lets you blend. I really like using a pencil when I travel because it is more convenient. The shadow and brush also give a soft look and may be good for you if you have lighter brows and want just a little more color and make them appear thicker. I recommend you go to a Sephora to try both of the products out and match your brows and see what looks more natural. It can be a little tricky doing it online. You only want about one shade darker than your natural brows so it looks natural. If you are coming to town anytime soon I would love to go with you! Let me know! xoxo
