The Body Shop: Part Deux

Ok, so little fun fact before I start. When I Googled how to spell “Part Deux” for this post, I was directed to Urban Dictionary stating part deux was “a superficial, unnecessary or overly bad sequel to a classic film.” I promise you this post is none of those things. I did think it was funny though, because they are kind of right when it comes to movies. Ok enough of my rambling, let’s get started.

The Body Shop as you guys know is a fave of mine on so many levels. So of course when I saw another sale online, I couldn’t hold back, and I tried hard people. When I received these products and put them to use, I was happy I listened to the little voice in my head…you know the one that tells you, “YOLO!”

Blueberry Body Scrub

Amazing, amazing, amazing. Not only does this smell like blueberry muffins while you are in the shower, but it also looks so cool when you apply it! I feel like I’m spreading crunchy blueberry jam all over my body (maybe I discovered a new fetish?!) I also love how awesome it is right before I shave to remove all the dead skin and lift those nasty ingrowns in the back of my thighs. I have done about 10 laser treatments to my leg hairs, and it looks like I’m stuck with those suckers fo’ life. ¬†They just don’t want to leave. Bummer.

Almond Body Butter

This is like a delicious zero-calorie treat right before you go to bed, who doesn’t dream of that? I’m a little picky when it comes to lotions. I don’t like super heavy creams because I feel like I’m rubbing grease all over my clean body I just spent 30 minutes washing in the shower (ok I may not spend 30 minutes washing, but you know what I mean). This lotion has become one of my top body moisturizers. Also love how it doesn’t sting when I apply it after I shave. That always happens to me with Victoria’s Secret and Bath and Body Works creams, ouch!

Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

This is a super gentle cleanser for removing super stubborn eye makeup. I don’t use this everyday. I mainly save it for the weekends when I wear heavier makeup to go out. I love this product because you don’t have to use a cotton pad like you would with eye makeup remover. I recommend this if you are looking for a super effective makeup remover and for a great price.

Satsuma Shower Gel

This little guy is perfect for those of you who take showers first thing in the mornings. It’s like washing with freshly made orange juice, but in a good way, I promise! I not a morning shower kinda gal, so I love this when I shower after the gym. It’s a total wake-me-up! This cleanser is also soap-free, so it won’t dry your skin. The price doesn’t hurt either. Right now it’s on sale for $4!

Hope you girls enjoyed the review on my favorite Body Shop products of the moment! Have you guys been obsessed with a beauty brand lately that you just can’t get enough of? Have a great night ladies! xoxo

Love Always Your Miami Beauty Girl,

Elyse
