So what do you girls think about the new blog design?! I am totally and completely in love! A big shout out and thank you to my amazing web designer Jessica Krieger! She is not only patient, but very talented at what she does.

Jessica helped me revamp the blog to not only beautify, but also make it easier to navigate, subscribe, and leave comments after my posts. I hope you all enjoy the new changes and can’t wait for Miami Beauty Girl to keep growing!

Ok enough housekeeping, let’s talk beauty. I wanted to show you girls which six lipgloss products I have been reaching for A LOT lately and how amazing these colors are for the warmer months.

(From left to right on swatches above)

1. Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer in Nova

2. MAC Tinted Lipglass in Nymphette

3. MAC Tinted Lipglass in Pink Lemonade

4. Artistry Lipgloss in Confetti

5. Bobbi Brown High Shimmer Lipgloss in Pink Tulle

6. NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in Beige

How awesome is the lipgloss from Artistry with the light and little mirror on the side? Perfect for a romantic date night or going out with the girls when do you don’t want to go to go all the way to the bathroom to touch up. You know I’m right and you’ve all been there! LOL!

Have a great night beauty girls and always thank you for reading!

Just a little inspiration for your Thursday! It’s almost Friday people! Woohoo!
Love Always Your Miami Beauty Girl,

Sephora Over Haul!

It’s that time of year! Sephora is offering 15% off everything in the store if you are a VIB or Rouge member. Please don’t ask how I got Rouge membership, I’m a little ashamed. I think I should own stock in Sephora, let’s just say that.

I went to Sephora this weekend armed and ready with my list of products I wanted to pick up. I did just file my own taxes (yay me!), so I decided I deserved to treat myself to some new goodies. I was also feeling very generous, so I also decided to pick up some goodies for you guys too! I am doing a couple giveaways the next coming weeks, so be on the look out via Instagram to find out which goodies you could win! Free makeup, woohoo!!!

Too Faced Chocolate Bar

I have many eye shadow palettes. I have Urban Decay Naked, Naked 2, Smashbox, MAC and the list goes on. This palette stood out to me because how many color options it has and wait for it…it smells like chocolate! It really is made with real cocoa! It’s a real treat for your nose and your eyes while your putting it on! I also really apprecitated they offered a bigger amount of the base and highlight colors (top left and bottom right) since those are always the ones that run out first for me. I can see myself doing lots of really pretty eye looks with this palette not only for Spring and Summer, but also all the way into Winter. The shadows also swatch very smoothly and not too much fallout (fallout means that is doesn’t fall all over the place when you are applying it). Highly recommend you girls check this out before it sells out, because I can definitely see that happening!

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick- Bronze

This used to be one of the first beauty products I bought in my earlier days. It it the ULTIMATE all-in-one product. You can do your eyes, cheeks, bronzing, and highlight using just this product. If that isn’t amazing, I don’t know what is! Not to mention, how amazing are these colors for Spring and Summer looks?! Have I convinced you yet how amazing this is? Bravo Bobbi Brown, bravo!

Clinique Cheek Pop in Ginger Pop

Isn’t this the most adorable cheek product you’ve ever seen!? This is a statement all by it’s little cute self! And the best part is that it really is an awesome product! I have another one in Plum Pop and needed add Ginger Pop to my blush collection. This color is the most gorgeous bronzy coral, perfect for Spring! It has a different texture from my other blushes. It applys so smoothly and leaves the most amazing tint on your cheeks. These guys have been hard to get too, so if you see one you better grab it before it goes!

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper

This little product is serious. I was previously using Stila liquid eyeliner and loved it, but I ran out and decided to try this highly raved about eyeliner. The product rates 5 out of 5 stars at Sephora. It applys so smoothly and really allows you to be as dramatic or non-dramatic as you want with your liner. The tip of this pen really allows you to achieve the most perfect wing. I wake up looking forward to putting on my liner these days because of this.  I warned you I was weird.

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores

I went a little old school with some products on this haul. Sometimes you just gotta go back to the stuff that works, and this mask works! This was one of the first masks I used back in the day, and it’s still around and I’m happy it is! Since I’ve still been going through a moment with my skin, I thought I should pick this guy up again. I really feel this mask does a good job detoxing my skin and good option for an at-home spa night.

Bobbi Brown High Shimmer Lip Gloss in Bellini

One of my favorite lip glosses in my favorite shade. I would describe this lip gloss as the perfect color for any look. It is the perfect amout of nude, pink and shimmery. I also love the formula because it leaves your lips super soft even after the color wears off because it has Vitamin E. If you are looking for a super functional gloss, this is your girl. Would love for you guys to win this one…hint hint!

Benefit They’re Real Mascara

As you guys already know, this is one of my top mascaras, so when I saw this super adorbs travel size version I couldn’t resist! Hmm…maybe I’ll make this one of my giveaways, wink wink!

St. Tropez Gorgeous and Glowing Kit Beauty Insider (similar St. Tropez Self Tan Starter Kit)

I got this kit as a Beauty Insider gift from saving up my points for a while now. If you have at least 500 points with your Beauty Insider card, you can also get this kit. I have been dying to try St. Tropez products a very long time, but haven’t gotten around to it. I have heard many good things about the line. I figured this would be the perfect way to try out several products all at once. I will do a follow-up and let you guys know how it goes using these products, so be on the look out for that. If you are also interested in trying these as well, there is an awesome starter kit for $25 available that I linked above.

Hope you guys enjoyed the haul and be sure to be on the look out via my Instagram (@miamibeautygirl) to win some of these products! Have a great Monday beauty girls!

Please be sure to be subscribed to the blog and via Instagram to be updated when new posts go up! I have some fun giveaways coming up and want you girls to have a chance on winning some cool stuff!

Love Always Your Miami Beauty Girl,

My Current Obsession: Bobbi Brown Lip gloss

Hola MBGs! I hope you haven’t thought I neglected you this weekend, but I was working on something special for you all (check out my Instagram at MiamiBeautyGirl to get a sneak peak).  It will be up soon, promise!

I thought I would share with you all my absolute favorite lip gloss of the moment, Bobbi Brown High Shimmer Lip Gloss. These glosses make me feel like a million bucks! Every time I put it on, I just feel happy [insert Pharrell Happy song]. I know it sounds crazy, but it’s true! Bobbi’s glosses have Aloe, Vitamin E and C to moisturize your lips while you are wearing it, so even when the gloss wears off, your lips are still soft and hydrated like your wearing a lip balm. I highly recommend you go and try these out. I’ll share with you the shades I own and adore.

Top to Bottom:

Bobbi Brown Pink Tulle

I love this color. It’s super cute on its own and I also really love to layer it with a pretty lip color underneath. It’s not too shimmery, not too glossy. Just the perfect amount of everything.

Bobbi Brown Bellini

This is also just as gorgeous, but a little more of a pinkish/nudish shade. It’s the perfect gloss for a smoky eye when you want a nude lip, but you don’t want to look washed out. Love it!!

Bobbi Brown Bronzed Heather

This is the newest addition to the family and it has been much loved as you can see by the wearing of the Bobbi print on the tube. The lady at the Bobbi counter at Nordstrom saw me drooling over the glosses and told me I had to try this one on. Boy, what an easy sale that was! This is the most gorgeous shade just by its lonesome. It will compliment any skin tone. Go try this puppy on, I know you will love it!

Sorry this was a short post. It’s a little late and had a long day at work. But I’ll come back at ya with some cool stuff this week! Have a good night gals and let me know if you try any of the Bobbi glosses or if you own any other shades! I always love an excuse to get another Bobbi lip gloss, hehe.

Love Always Your Miami Beauty Girl,

My Most Used and Favorite Make-up Brushes

I know make-up brushes can be very expensive, but having the right tools is key to your make-up coming out perfect. You may think MAC is the only option to buying brushes, that’s not the case anymore. Although they do have awesome brushes, there are less expensive alternatives out there.

The past couple of years, my brush collection has grown. There are certain brushes that I cannot live without and travel with everywhere I go (I was considering buying the same brushes again to have as a travel set but I restrained myself…cha-ching!). I remembering back in the day, applying eyeshadow with my fingers and having one face brush to do it all…oh how the times have changed. I am telling you, once you buy a couple great quality brushes, applying make-up will be an entirely different experience. I will show you which brushes I use every single day and I’ll give you a recommendation at the end if you want to jump in and buy a starter set for yourself. Enjoy!

Sigma E60 Large Shader Brush

Sigma is a company that has great make-up brushes for way less than MAC, but still have amazing quality. The two pink brushes in the picture are both from a starter kit I purchased, which is great for beginners. I love the E60 because its nice and flat which is great for packing on eyeshadow to make it nice and dense on the lid.

Sigma E55 Eye Shading

This brush is also great for packing color on the lid as well as applying shadow on the lower lash line. This one is a little more rounded, which make it great for blending as well.

MAC 217 Blending Brush

This was the first make-up brush I ever bought, which was many years ago and it is still in mint condition. This brush is a little pricey, but I feel like this brush is such a multi-tasker. This is the brush I travel with do my eyeshadow, because you can pack shadow and blend all with this brush. If you take of it, it will take of you, and you will have one happy family.

Real Techniques Blush Brush

This line of brushes are super affordable, and pretty easy to find. I always get lucky finding these brushes at Ulta. They have a different feel to them, because the bristles are synthetic. Synthetic means the brushes are not made  of real animal hair and can also be used to apply cream products. I use this brush as my powder brush. It is slightly tapered and fluffy at the same time, which makes it great for placing product exactly where you need it, like your T-zone or under the cheek bones for bronzer.

Bobbi Brown Blush Brush

I know what you thinking, “But you just finished talking about a blush brush?” You’re right I did, but this brush stands alone in the trophy department. I’m going to tell your right now, this brush is a hefty $52, but please make this brush a part of you (yes a part of you because that’s what it will become). This is THE most amazing brush to apply blush with. You don’t have to make funny faces or do the duck face to apply blush anymore after having this master piece. Bravo Bobbi Brown, bravo!

Sigma F20 Large Powder Brush

Perfect, perfect for applying bronzer right under the check bones and around the hairline without bronzer getting every where you don’t want it. It has a flat side to it, which it makes the contouring task a little easier, and not as “drag” if you know what I mean…

Sigma F86 Tapered Kabuki

Now, if you have the patience to blend out under eye concealer with your little finger and dab dab dab the night away, then you may not need this brush. If you are like me and don’t want to spend forever blending, you need this in your life (life is short people).

Sigma F35 Tapered Highlighter

If you don’t use highlighter, then you haven’t discovered your inner Kardashian alter ego. Highlight makes anyone have an ethereal glow even on the days you just don’t feel glowy, you know what I mean?! If you have no idea what highlight is, I’ll help you out and recommend MAC Soft and Gentle. This  little brush is great for highlight because it is tapered and applies product right on top of your cheekbone and cupid’s bow perfectly.

Sigma F84 Angled Kabuki

Applying foundation has become a much simpler task after getting this brush. No streaking and no un-even foundation ever again. I feel like a pro applying my makeup with this brush, plus it’s super soft. This is also synthetic, so it’s pretty easy to clean. Let me know if you guys want me to do a tutorial on cleaning brushes. Not fun, but the way I do it might change your mind.

As far as my recommendation for a beginner kit, I recommend the Sigma Make Me Classy Essential Kit as an awesome beginner’s set. I own this set and love it. It also comes with a very handy traveler case and you can use the same case as a brush holder at home. There are couple other gurus I follow online, and MakeupByTiffanyD has a 10% coupon code every month for Sigma Beauty. This month the code is FEB2014.

Let me know if you guys found this review helpful and if you add any new brushes to your collection!

Love Always Your Miami Beauty Girl,

The Night Crew: My Bedtime Routine

As the day comes to an end, one of last things I look forward to doing is washing my face (with the two face washes I mentioned a couple posts ago) and massaging these wonderful products on my face. Is that weird that I like to massage my face? I don’t think there is any scientific study out there about that, but I figured it couldn’t do any harm either.

I’m a little addicted, in a good way, to using products that will help prevent wrinkles and fine lines ( I know some of you are rolling your eyes right now, but just trust me on this one). I love all these products because they keep my skin hydrated during the night. We sleep 8-9 hours without drinking any water remember? If you’re looking for some yummy products for your night time routine, keep reading and maybe I’ll inspire you ;)

Ok this product is not always a part of my routine, but I’m going through a little break out and this stuff is a miracle in a tube. This was prescribed to me by my dermatologist when I went a couple weeks ago desperate for a medication that would clear me up and this was it! I highly recommend you ask your derm about it if you are having a little episode like I am.

 Bobbi Brown Hydrating Gel Cream:

This is the perfect topper right after I put on my acne medication. It’s light and refreshing. It’s not too light, not too heavy, ok sounded a little Goldilocks right there. I also use it sometimes right before I put on my makeup as a primer. I highly recommend this! This gel will always be in my life.

 Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins (oil free):

I am currently not using this one as I totally ran out and really miss it. I wanted to give it an honorable mention though as it was a part of my routine almost all of last year. This has THE most delicious smell. It has a super light orange/grapefruit scent to it. You feel like you are literally quenching your skin as you are putting in on. I almost want to go right now and get more, I’m going to hold back as it’s 10 o’clock at night.

 Clinique All About Eyes:

This is a very light and hydrating eye cream perfect for girls in their 20s. It’s not too heavy and applies very easily. I can honestly say I have seen my under eye area a little smoother these days thanks to this. Tip: Make sure to always apply any eye cream or product with your ring finger, it’s the finger that applies the least  amount of pressure around that sensitive area.

 Aubrey Rose Hip Seed Oil:

I read this oil is good for helping old blemish spots fade away. To be honest, I haven’t seen a huge difference since I haven’t been using it too long, but I’m a committed kinda gal, so I’ll keep on truckin’ and let you know! It does smell nice though.

Loccitane Lip Balm and Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm:

No, I don’t put both of them on, but I do alternate just because I love them both so much! The Loccitane Lip Balm is more of a glossy feel and the Nuxe is more of a balmy feel, but they both get the job done. I cannot go to bed without using one of these balms. They stay on all night so your lips feel non-chapped in the AM. Now I know the Loccitane lip balm is  easily available, but the Nuxe one might be a little more challenging since I got it in Paris. But I know if you look online with enough desire, I know you will find it.

 Lush Dream Cream:

Last but not least, the Dream Cream. Isn’t the name itself just perfect for bedtime? This cream is just “dreamy” because it’s made with oils of chamomile, lavender, rose and cocoa butter to make it super delicious for my hands and legs right before bed. I’m usually not a big body cream kinda gal, but this gets a special spot right next to me in bed, get it?!

Hope you gals enjoyed reading about my much loved bedtime products! Let me know what you guys use right before bed!

 Mucho Amor,
