The Night Crew: My Bedtime Routine

As the day comes to an end, one of last things I look forward to doing is washing my face (with the two face washes I mentioned a couple posts ago) and massaging these wonderful products on my face. Is that weird that I like to massage my face? I don’t think there is any scientific study out there about that, but I figured it couldn’t do any harm either.

I’m a little addicted, in a good way, to using products that will help prevent wrinkles and fine lines ( I know some of you are rolling your eyes right now, but just trust me on this one). I love all these products because they keep my skin hydrated during the night. We sleep 8-9 hours without drinking any water remember? If you’re looking for some yummy products for your night time routine, keep reading and maybe I’ll inspire you ;)

 Aczone:

Ok this product is not always a part of my routine, but I’m going through a little break out and this stuff is a miracle in a tube. This was prescribed to me by my dermatologist when I went a couple weeks ago desperate for a medication that would clear me up and this was it! I highly recommend you ask your derm about it if you are having a little episode like I am.

 Bobbi Brown Hydrating Gel Cream:

This is the perfect topper right after I put on my acne medication. It’s light and refreshing. It’s not too light, not too heavy, ok sounded a little Goldilocks right there. I also use it sometimes right before I put on my makeup as a primer. I highly recommend this! This gel will always be in my life.

 Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins (oil free):

I am currently not using this one as I totally ran out and really miss it. I wanted to give it an honorable mention though as it was a part of my routine almost all of last year. This has THE most delicious smell. It has a super light orange/grapefruit scent to it. You feel like you are literally quenching your skin as you are putting in on. I almost want to go right now and get more, I’m going to hold back as it’s 10 o’clock at night.

 Clinique All About Eyes:

This is a very light and hydrating eye cream perfect for girls in their 20s. It’s not too heavy and applies very easily. I can honestly say I have seen my under eye area a little smoother these days thanks to this. Tip: Make sure to always apply any eye cream or product with your ring finger, it’s the finger that applies the least  amount of pressure around that sensitive area.

 Aubrey Rose Hip Seed Oil:

I read this oil is good for helping old blemish spots fade away. To be honest, I haven’t seen a huge difference since I haven’t been using it too long, but I’m a committed kinda gal, so I’ll keep on truckin’ and let you know! It does smell nice though.

Loccitane Lip Balm and Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm:

No, I don’t put both of them on, but I do alternate just because I love them both so much! The Loccitane Lip Balm is more of a glossy feel and the Nuxe is more of a balmy feel, but they both get the job done. I cannot go to bed without using one of these balms. They stay on all night so your lips feel non-chapped in the AM. Now I know the Loccitane lip balm is  easily available, but the Nuxe one might be a little more challenging since I got it in Paris. But I know if you look online with enough desire, I know you will find it.

 Lush Dream Cream:

Last but not least, the Dream Cream. Isn’t the name itself just perfect for bedtime? This cream is just “dreamy” because it’s made with oils of chamomile, lavender, rose and cocoa butter to make it super delicious for my hands and legs right before bed. I’m usually not a big body cream kinda gal, but this gets a special spot right next to me in bed, get it?!

Hope you gals enjoyed reading about my much loved bedtime products! Let me know what you guys use right before bed!

Review Session: The Body Shop

Oh The Body Shop…

I used to get this place mixed up with Bath and Body Works until I ordered some of their products for the first time a couple of weeks ago and will most definitely not be mixing them up again!

The reason I stumbled upon them is because I wanted to try their bronzer that is highly raved about in the YouTube/Blogger world and when I went on the website they happened to be having a 40% off everything sale and free shipping…guess what happened after I saw that! Well I guess it’s obvious with the pics I have below…lol

Anyways, I have been absolutely loving all the products I picked up and will most definitely be visiting their outlet store in Sawgrass Mills Mall!

Keep reading and I’ll give you details about each of the products I’ve been using and loving! These guys have me wanting to take two showers a day! I know, I know…not good for the environment! I’ll try to hold back ;)

Banana Shampoo:

Who doesn’t love bananas?! Even if you don’t (there is something wrong with your DNA, jk :p), this shampoo leaves you hair super soft and manageable. I have super tangly hair, so when I use something like this I’m hooked! They also have a Banana conditioner, but they were sold out online…guess what I’ll be going back for!

Bronzer in shade 01:

I might sound a little exaggerated right now, but this bronzer has changed my pale life! It is the perfect formula when you put it on. It’s the absolute perfect shade for you girls out there with fair skin and all other bronzers make you look like you just brushed orange clay on your cheeks…ugh I hate that! There are also different shades for girls not as fair and want to give this a try! I want to go and buy more just in case they ever discontinue!

Mango Sugar Body Scrub:

One word: Delicious! It’s smells like I’m scrubbing a Mango smoothie on my legs in the shower, but in a good way! I use this before I shave. I have super thick hairs on my legs (is that TMI?) and this stuff gets those ingrowns up and away! (TMI again?)

Seaweed Pore Cleansing Facial Exfoliator:

Now this stuff is a mini-microdermabrasion in a bottle! The granules are a little rough for me just because I’m going through a weird moment with my skin right now, but this stuff is no joke! If you are looking for an exfoliator that gets the job done, this is it! Wouldn’t recommend for super sensitive skin types though. Ye be warned!

Tea tree oil:

So many benefits with using tea tree oil, and I’ve heard so many awesome things using it for spot treatment so I grabbed this little guy. I really felt a significant reduction in my blemish the morning after and not to mention the scent was very relaxing right before I went to bed…thumbs up to this! I even put some on my pillow sheet it smelled so good! Namaste!

Well that’s enough distraction from my studying for one night! Hope you guys enjoyed the review and let me know if you get anything from The Body Shop!

PS I’ve been trying to learn how to spruse up the blog little by little, but so far I’ve made it into a dot com! Woohoo!

Have a great night ladies!

Bisous,

Elyse
